Saadian Tombs

The tour guide and I spent a little bit of time walking around the Saadian Tombs, dating from the late 16th to 18th centuries, where the members of the Saadian Dynasty are buried. The two mausoleums set in a beautiful garden are considered some of the finest examples of Islamic architecture in Morocco. Unfortunately, the main building was undergoing restoration so didn’t offer much opportunity for photography.

Pictured here is the smaller of the mausoleums.
