Bathers

North Berwick

It has been a hot and sunny day. But this often means the haar (sea fog) rolls in, in the afternoon.
The haar can catch people unawares because it can arrive suddenly and change from hot to cool.
But it doesn't stop everyone from enjoying their time by the sea.

And last year was dangerous to be on the road.

Nice photo of the family enjoying their trip to the beach. I wouldn't have minded a paddle myself, the humidity today has been much too high for comfort.

I have never heard that term for sea fog, even though I have spent a lot of time in the North East of England. V
