Living on the edge

A closer view of the Chouara Tanneries, the largest such facility in the Fes medina and operating for over a thousand years. The lye vats, with houses fronting them, are the most dangerous part of the operation. Hard to see, but there was a woman on the rooftop terrace, next to the yellow hides drying.

It looks like a hard life. I saw on TV it is very dangerous if someone falls in. Excellent capture of the woman in the scene. V
