Doing time

I was in the Sallyport (garage) when one of our officers was taking a prisoner from the jail to his court hearing tonight. The subject was all restrained up making his short walk over to see the Magistrate and the look of pure joy on this individuals face as he stepped out of the jail to the outside world was immediate and sincere. I did not catch his words spoken to his guard, but I am sure if was about fresh air, sky and being out of his cell. I can't imagine ever being incarcerated for a second. I am guess I am with the overwhelming majority of my family and friends who all adhere to the social contract of civilized society to prevent us from going to jail, but seeing his face reinforced my desire to stay on this side of righteousness...
Don't do the crime, if you can't stand to do the time.

I don't know; you spent time on a CVA. I'm reminded of what Samuel Johnson said about being on a ship; like being in jail, with the chance of being drowned. In that sense you've already done your time so it's understandable you wouldn't want to do any more.
I like the mixture of the primary colours here; the red and the blue of the lights against the green of the trees. The perspective of the walls leading out to freedom is cleverly done as well.

A good creed to live by!
