This weekend marked the 100th anniversary of Britain's worst rail disaster
at Quintinshill near Gretna in which 216 Royal Scots soldiers and another 12 passengers died.
These wooden crosses representing each of the dead soldiers were laid out today beside the
mass grave and memorial at Rosebank Cemetery alongside wreaths from the Princess Royal
and First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.
