The innovative architecture in downtown Doha was one of the big attractions of the city for me – it seemed like every building must have been approved for a unique design that would only contribute to the striking skyline because there wasn’t a boring, boxy building among them.

This was the view from our hotel room. I don’t know what the black building was, but it offered quite a lovely reflection. Guess I should find out when we go back to Doha in a few weeks!
