Palm view

The back side of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, which I was told will be reopened in four months. I can’t wait to see the restoration.

This is the last of the pictures from that dreary weather day. I enjoyed this return visit to Diriyah and really like the town, but I think it looks far better under a bright sun and blue skies. It’s quite rare here to have a day as overcast as that one, but with winter fast approaching we’ve had some rain, and the temperatures have dropped radically, averaging maybe 70 degrees F during the day and below 60 at night. One night is forecast next week for 46 degrees, which sounds delightful to me!

Those palms are pretty. They fit in well with the building in the background. V

A very attractive photo with that almost layered vegetation.

A beautifully composed image withe great contrast between the colours of the flowers and the structure rising out of the desert behind. V

The row of what looks like bougainvillea, gives the shot a lovely colourful lift V
