Scottish Wild Llama

I went for a walk in the hills of the Scottish Borders region today.
The forecast was supposed to be sunny but it turned out to be grey and murky instead.
However I did come across a small herd of the Scottish Wild Llamas (Llama Scotia) that live there.
These species of llama are similar to the ones in South America but a bit smaller and more timid.
The Scottish llama lives in the foothills, in the same terrain as the haggis, but I didn't see any of those today.
They are probably already getting ready to hibernate in their burrows for winter.

A terrific capture and I really like your low angle POV for this image. A very expressive eye catching look and pose in this beautifully detailed image. VV++

Excellent low angle perspective on this llama. It looks wild and as if it could easily be startled.

It looks like you might have been in a vulnerable position to get this amazing portrait! That llama's expression is priceless. Great story to accompany your work. Voted.

I'm amazed at the things you can learn from PBase. All these years I thought that the famous image from Lock Ness was in fact a haggis grabbing a ride atop a swimming Scottish Llama, now I discover that all the haggises would have been hibernating at the time!
This is a hugely fun shot, and I must admit that "LOL" wasn't just an expression on the Internet when I opened it. The swept forward ears are the perfecting touch to compliment the teeth and the eyes.
