This shallow area is just around the NE corner of Tunnels Beach. According to the guy who crewed on our NaPali tour, it's a place where two currents collide, making it a great place for turtles to hang out, recharge their batteries, and enjoy whatever food the currents bring to them. I count six in this photo, but we saw as many as 20. Unfortunately, being in waist-deep water and only 30 - 40 yards from the beach also made the turtles vulnerable to harassment from ignorant tourists.
