Greater Yellowlegs

This beauty was lurking along the edge of a pond, looking for something to eat. It is always neat to see the shorebirds. We don't see a lot of them here. I learned it is a Greater Yellowlegs, which looks quite a bit like the Lesser Yellowlegs. The Willet also looks similar in my Birds of Oregon book.

A lovely shot and super composition, Vern. Most likely a Greater Yellowlegs - as their range is more consistent with your location. And if it helps to know, Willets legs are always grey. :)
