Sparrow hawk and ex-dove

This afternoon, there was a loud thump at the window, and I caught a glimpse of a collared dove flying away. Looking out of the window, (which now features a perfect "flying dove" print) I noticed a lot of frantic flapping down at the end of the garden. Thinking the dove may injured I went out to investigate. It was dead. The pale grey feathery mess you can see at the bottom of the frame is the dove, the bird with it's beak full of dove is the sparrow hawk that killed it. I was able to get within 10 feet to get this shot.

OK, I've cheated a bit this time, and I did crop the pic. The uncropped original is here

Canon PowerShot G2
1/320s f/4.0 at 21.0mm (35mm equivalent: 106mm) then cropped a bit full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Cropping is cheating? I guess this hawk eating the dove cheated as well. Oh well.
