Debi Shearwater (third from left) ran a Shearwater Journeys pelagic out of Half Moon Bay the same day as Alvaro Jaramillo ran our Alvaro's Adventures pelagic. We radioed them about the Salvin's Albatross, and though they were an hour's motoring away at the time, this amazingly cooperative bird was still around for them to enjoy when they arrived. They had earlier told us about things they were seeing, but as usual with fast-moving developments on the ocean, we weren't able to find them. The Salvin's was a fortunate exception!
