Reine Rorbrua

Reine Harbour, Lofoten, Norway

A long lens was used to compress the perspective of this distant scene so that the red rorbrua the converted traditional fishing huts and the boats in the harbour were seen in context with the massive bulk of the jagged Lofoten peaks reflected in the tidal bay. An immense sense of scale is conveyed using this technique that is often overlooked in the wider view.

Could this be the most picturesque Co-op in the world?
