The John Muir Way is a new long distance, coast-to-coast footpath that crosses Scotland.
It is 134 miles long and ends (or starts, depending on your preference) in Dunbar which is the birthplace of John Muir.
I know a lot of my American friends think he was an American born in California but, no, John Muir was actually a Scot who emigrated with his family as a young boy.
I didn't walk the whole way today :) Just the five mile section nearest to home.
The way is not to be confused with the John Muir Trail which runs from Yosemite Valley to Mt Whitney, in California. I need a passport to do that...
