seaweed

Ascophyllum nodosum

#17 April Challenge - 30 Things

"Thick and Thin"

As a kid I loved to squeeze the thick bladders, releasing a salty jelly!
This rockweed grows in abundance along the Maine coast.
When it washes ashore many gardeners collect it for composting.

Seaweed is good for the garden and a good source of Iodine.

This is definitely one of the more difficult topics. Great choice. I like the colors and clarity. "V"
