I appreciate the information. Out at Luke AFB... this was part of the many static displays on hand. The information board with all the specifics mentioned that this was a marine aircraft.... But thank you for the correction.

This is definitely an F-35A. But it is NOT a United States Marine Corps aircraft! It is assigned to the 61st Fighter Squadron of the United States Air Force! That is the unit emblem on the intake-plug.
