It's early morning and you can see the frost on our tents.
Well, I made it to the final Barafu Camp at 15,282 ft.
But I caught a Cold and decided against the final ascent to the top.
It would have been a seven hour, 3,000 ft ascent in freezing morning weather and so
I stayed behind in my warm sleeping bag.
And I'm good with that. 15k+ feet is plenty high enough.
I was doing fine with the hike and altitude. I was popping the Diamox pills every 12 hours,
so I did not notice any Altitude Sickness during my hike. Just some tingling in my fingers.
The real trick in the ascent is the six days of hiking/altitude acclimation and going very, very slowly.

So be prepared for some Kilimanjo hiking pics and the safari pics;-)
