I have so often reserved this walk for rainy days, as it will stand them, that I am pleased I fell lucky to be there on what looks like the last day of decent weather for a while.....and virtually all to myself.
Falmouth castle perched on the headland to the right; that and its twin at St Mawes protected the important Falmouth estuary from invaders in the bad old days
