Invermoriston II

Invermoriston, Highland

The bridge in the picture (from which the previous image was taken) formed part of the early 19th century road running from Inverness to Fort William built by Thomas Telford - the predecessor to the modern A82. Note also the brave swimmer bottom right - rather him than me!

Wonderful setting with the old bridge and nice details and color, John. I'd skip the swim too! V

Fantastic picture. You have captured the flow so well and the size is shown well by the person. v

Beautiful capture of this beautiful bridge. It blends well into environment, much better than modern bridges.

Impressive. The swimmer gives perspective as to the size of the gorge and bridge.Building styles have changed ,however there is an atmosphere missing when measuring the old with the new...V

A very dynamic feeling to this image. Love the addition of the person (people?) who are dwarfed by the magnificent scene. V.

Looks too dangerous for swimming! More great water movement and I like how solid the bridge looks anchored to the rocks.

looks a busy bit of river; think I would choose a quieter place to swim too

Great fast flowing water scene, I would not want to be in that water either. v
