Apple Country

189 of 365

Due to the moderate climate along the shoreline of Lake Ontario (one of the Great Lakes), this
area grows some delicious apples. New York State is second in apple production only to Washington
state. I believe that the apples pictured here are Empires, a variety that is only grown in New York
State. Washington state cannot grow Empires and we ship Empires to them for their apple gift boxes?

These apples are still a couple of months away from harvesting. They have a lot of growing
to do and will be almost fully red in September/October when picked.

Your apples look much better than mine. Very nice capture of them in the tree. V.

After last year's disastrous crop. I'm looking forward to eating local apples again! Nice shot.

Nice shot of the ripening crop. Takes lots of water, sun and patience.

Very nice, can't wait for some nice fresh apples but don't want to hurry my life along either so I will wait.
