A sublime summer morning around 3.00am an hour or less before sunrise. A crimson stripe has already begun to find a way through the heavy clouds which still have that eerie blue twilit glow which serves only to emphasise the strength of the opposing colours. The cliff tops are loaded with golden Birdsfoot Trefoil and dense pockets of pink and purple thrift in the middle of it all sits birdshit rock an outpost for every cormorant, shag and kittiwake. It isn't a great stretch of the imagination to believe this was a still from a Walt Disney movie. Perhaps a rabbit a deer and a pod of leaping dolphins, all of which I have seen at this location before would provide the ultimate zippety-doo-dah moment.
