This little church, Christ Church, Mount Pleasant SC, had its foundation laid in 1707. It seems
to have had a somewhat tumultuous history. Destroyed by accidental fire in 1724; set on fire
by the British Army in 1782, and destroyed yet again in 1865. Throughout, the walls remained
standing and the church was rebuilt each time; the last in 1874. Since 1874, thus far, it has
enjoyed a peaceful later life. (I suspect Smoking is now prohibited.)
