Coming Home From Sierra Vista

Thank you all for your good thoughts and prayers today.

The sleet began just as my daughter and I left Sierra Vista at about 1:20 pm.
By 1:30 pm the snow was falling hard and fast and visibility was very poor.
As we got close to home, between Benson and J-Six, we saw a semi that had jackknifed on the
opposite side of the road and traffic was tied up for miles. Ugh.
My daughter Amy had to drive because my eyes were dilated! She did a great job.
We got home safe and sound a little after 2:30 pm. Look how much snow we got in an hour!
It is still coming down thick and fast and our Blizzard Warning is on until 11:00 pm.

(Just two days ago I spent a beautiful day in a park without even having to wear a jacket.)

Glad to hear you did it safely. Lovely mood in those images, though not the best conditions for driving (at least for me)...V.

Happy that you and your daughter were able to get home safely. This snow and frigid weather is truly a sad event for your state..

That was quite a storm!! So glad all is well, Carol. The last two scenes beautiful. How amazing the desert looks with the snow. So surreal. \/

Beautiful snow images but so much snow makes traveling even short distances difficult..we have had more than our share this year too and there is more on the way...we just don't have anywhere to put it's so good to see you back at Pbase...I missed seeing your fabulous images....BV
