C is for Cross

The picture frame is a "Napoleonic bench", originally ordained by that particular despot to placate his lady wife, who took pity on the peasant women carrying their produce to market and badgered hubby into doing something about it. Interestingly, the bench is flanked by trees and a tall thick hedge that completely hides the cross behind it unless you happen to stop and nose around. France is a secular state, after all. However, I stopped because of the hedge.

Considering the age and state of my saddle, the title ought to be "The old rugged crotch" but that would be rude.

Don't believe the EXIF: I mishandled the thing in Photoshop afterwards, with malice aforethought.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1
1/500s f/3.3 at 4.9mm iso125 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

This is a great image and even more hear the story. The bike in the foreground is a great contrast.
