Rose splash.

Rose splash.

I shot this one at the same time as the daisy shot so the depth of field is not ideal (the flower in the background should be less sharp) but I still really like the warm colours and I have not been able to reproduce the drops like this. The process is a bit arcane and I'm still not sure what all the important factors are so I am often not sure what I did.... I still wish I had noticed the DOF at the time, though! I suppose I could Photoshop the flower to blur it, but that is not in my usual repertoire of "things I do in Photoshop" (I mostly just adjust contrast, dodge and burn, and crop -- basically things I could do in the darkroom).

The rose does overpower a bit but the brilliance of the water drop comes through beautifully. good work Peter...
