Quite a capture Roy, "Bird Whisperer" lol. Even looking at a living raven I don't think I've even seen as much detail. Alan Kearney

Oh my! Beautiful light on his wing feathers and the detail on his face, and talons is just wonderful. He must have been close enough to touch! Bird whisperer you! :)

Remarkably detailed, clear capture with well-defined black tones. Is this a cropped image?

How did you get to so close? Nice shot.

Fantastic capture and image quality is just perfect. Exceptionally well done! Seriously, how did you get so close with a 50mm lens? I shoot ravens often and I use a 500mm lens and still rarely get this close.

What a handsome fellow it is, I thought they were very wary of humans.

So up close and personal! Amazing with the 50! Excellent exposure, colors and detail. He almost looks like he's smiling too. V!

I chased all of his Maine relatives, for a week and couldn't get this close with a 300mm lens let alone a 1000mm. Can I buy this? Ravens are my cousins.
