A gorgeous still and misty summer morning lacked the colour that I had hoped for but never-the-less oozed with atmosphere when the first breath of sunlight warmed the loch and mist began to boil from its surface. A perfect reflection maintained itself, doubling the image of Ben Loyal and the sunlight that flickered across its flank. The bank of mist delicately separated an island of green reeds while the vertical stems of the foreground reeds were carefully positioned so as not to intrude upon the mountain's reflection.
