Iceberg watching is a favourite springtime activity here in Newfoundland - for both local residents and tourists. Tourists come from all corners of the globe to see these mammoth pieces of glacier float by our shores and sometimes go aground until they melt or break up. Today, with the wind offshore, it was 25C here. Wouldn't have been so had the wind been blowing onshore over this hunk of ice.
