No Second Fiddles

Byram NJ USA

Spring awakening along the shores of Johnson's Lake. Fiddle head ferns grow right along the shores of Johnson's Lake. Along with skunk cabbage they attract all the animals that are coming out of hibernating and are craving something juicy to munch on.

So sweet! This is a real feel-good picture.

I have always loved the unfurling of the fiddles and no they are not second, they are FIRST in my humble opinion. Here we have fern palms which unfold the same way only much bigger but they too always draw me.
