Sir Philip Sydney

Famous old pupil
Sir Philip Sidney (30 November 1554 – 17 October 1586) was an English poet, courtier and soldier, and is remembered as one of the most prominent figures of the Elizabethan Age. His works include Astrophel and Stella, and The Defence of Poetry.
A difficult statue to photograph due to its height and because so much detail is obscured by pigeon droppings and the passage of time. The statue was 'light-painted' with a powerful halogen lamp from 20 metres during a 30 second exposure.

he does look dashng if a tad suspicious...your halogen light is very effective as Sir Phillip stands in bold relief against the deep blue behind...V
