After completing the smooth R2/R3 U-loop in the lower middle of the field the cars hit a trio of sharp combination R1 corners that have to be negotiated slowly. Lane 2 has a distinct advantage here, to counter lane 1's advantage in the Elbow above. After completing the Twisty Bits cars enter a smooth R2 on the far side of the field before climbing the long ramp up onto the Long Bridge.
