Beware of Caesars Palace Camera policy for the Elton John Show

Las Vegas Nevada

Elton John at Caesars Palace Las Vegas Nevada

MY EXPERIENCE AT THE ELTON JOHN SHOW

When entering for the Elton John show they check your bags if you happen to have a SLR camera they ask you to check it at the counter before entering for the show

No SLR cameras allowed for the Elton John show.
When the usher shows you your seat he explains to you that you can take all the photos you like, try not to use flash.
I went back and argued with security to no avail.
Point and shoot cameras and cell phones were allowed.
I took this inferior photo by leaving the show a few minutes before it ended, got my camera back and entered lower level show room as Elton John was taking a bow .
Held it up over heads and shot.
Beware of Caesars Palace discrimination of the SLR camera if you attend a show there.
The show was good but there camera policy is discriminatory.

Nestor your persistence certainly worked, this is a great capture considering the problems you had. V

Great shot and story, my friend.
I came up against the same policy at a U.K. football ground!
You did well! *V*

Good move to get this fine shot! Bravo. I had this same experience at Bob Dylan show a few years ago. V

Great shot. v
I guess one always needs to have a small back up camera.

You acted with guile and the portrait of Elton is excellent, Nestor. In more, both hands which join make a unique image. BV.

Attended Elton's concert in Singapore last November. We were fortunate that all kinds of cameras were allowed but I used my compact Fuji X10 to shoot as well as did some video recording.
It was a fantastic perfomrmance and Elton showed he still had plenty of rock and roll in him when he performed to a packed house at our Indoor Stadium.
Anyway you had at least a good shot of him...V

This turned out fantastic and Elton looks really good for his age. There are some nice point and shoot cameras that can take high resolution photos so I don't get that policy at all. V.

MY bad experience was in Dallas, where Oswald was to shoot FJK. As you entered, they take your cameras and give you a ticket to reclaim it as you go out. I asked why!!! And mow imagine a Frenchman as the lady, a black person who to our ears, seem to have their own accent, explain in a Texas drawl ... cop right! I said what? she said cop right again ... I asked her was the cops had to do with me having my camera ... she replied again ... cop right! Since when do the cops have rights on the place ... she patiently said again ... cop right! Ok then, keep my bloody camera ... it is only later that I finaly caught on ... copyright! So copyright in Texas is ... cop right! Lord Jesus ... then at the restaurant, the waitress asked me if I wanted rinch with my salad! What the hell is rinch? Then the light came on ... she meant Ranch dressing!!! Thjey call it Rinch!!! I didn't mess with Teeeexas as they say! LOL
Elton, you sure got a great shot of him Nestor.wig and all :))))

One of my favorite performers! And what a fantabulous image!!!!! In all honesty, I think Caesars did you a favor by taking your DSLR, thus allowing you to capture this image at the very end! Bravo to you!!!!! BV

And we experienced one hell of an ordeal at Radio City Music Hall last summer (104* heat). They checked bags there and forced us and others to throw out our EMPTY plastic water bottles before entering!!! I'll never, ever go back to Radio city again!
