"I see the junkyard, where's the town?" Once a booming gold and silver town, Silver Peak today has only the lithium mine, a school, a post office and a tavern. There are a few well-kept modular homes amid a lot of ramshackle mobile homes surrounded by an amazing quantity of junk. The Mineral Ridge gold mine recently opened in the hills above Silver Peak. Hopefully it will bring a little prosperity to the town.
