A Piece of Yesteryear

Alabama

Every year we travel down to the farm in South Alabama
right before or after Christmas to gather with family.
This journey is (for me) one that brings back a rush of
good memories from 48 years of summers and holidays with
my family. The time spent there is different now than
in the days when my grandparents farmed the land, cared
for the livestock, filled our physical bodies with good
food and our spirits with enough love to last until the
next visit. Plenty of love is still around while pieces
of yesteryear fade away with each return to the farm.

"Rising Stars" One, two, three and four...

Very moving. Made me start thinking about my childhood. I see your kids are creating memories of their own. Merry Christmas, Scott! May the Lord Bless you and your family this year and for the many more years to come.
