I have used them both on numerous happy days in the past. The Maid of Bute was berthed at the mid-pier(where the Cabmans Rest is now)There were stairsjust before where the bridge is. The Albert pier side was the fishing boat that took you out for fishing trips. I am not giving a history lesson, just sharing happy memories.

It was the Maid of Bute owned by Mr Knox
She was berthed over towards the Albert Pier

I beleive the Gay Queen was before your time Zak. It was the highlight of our 2 weeks on Bute. Spent at least 2 days on her with the "Singing Captain"
