A piece of wood debris from a storm felled tree has washed down the river Findhorn and impaled itself in the sandy river bank. The water is oily black with peat soil sediment which stains it the colour of black coffee, whilst the spume from the nearby waterfall twists and eddies into liquorice swirls of coffee and cream.
