there was a campaign to save this building, but sadly these efforts failed
it was built in 1952 by Prudential Insurance & was a model of thoughtful corporate design, with a beautiful recreation area behind it that included a large swimming pool
the main lobby featured a remarkably politically incorrect fresco by Peter Hurd
it is being relocated to Artesia, New Mexico where it will reside in a public library
