The Ocean House: A Watch Hill landmark

A few years ago, this old hotel was sold.
The new owners planned on tearing her down and building condos.
A cry went out from the community, outraged at the very thought of losing this landmark,
which dominates the entire village and can be seen for miles.
The owners were somehow persuaded to build a replica of the former edifice.
Now completed, it is a hotel, restaurant, and yes, condos;
a gorgeous copy of the former Grande Dame, and worthy of her name.
