Our own version of the yellow brick road...

On the path of discoveries...
*
It is in a house and in the garden, it feels like home and it is in my extended town.
*
I live in a small part of our country where “art” plays an important role
for lots of people but mainly for the many artisans of our region,
who take advantage of this special month in the summer.
*
There is always something new happening in this happy place.
This year, near the “Jardin de Silice”, they started a walk of fame,
made of hand prints of the pioneers artisans and pieces of their work
in the sidewalk, creating a very original mosaic.
Visiting that garden has become an annual “rendez-vous”
for whoever can appreciate and buy art.
A must in summer time.
*
So, as I was walking at a snail's pace through the garden,
(can’t do much better than that still)
I barely had time to quickly capture
the magical instant where this little girl discovered
how different that sidewalk was…
*
Perhaps she will come back again or maybe not.
Will she remember that moment? I doubt it
but…this instant was a gift for me and i enjoyed it.
*
This walk of fame will continue to grow,
like her, in more than one way.
*
Some sort of a yellow brick road for artisans…
in the marvellous private land of a pottery artist,
where once a year, since the past 23 years, the door opens to all…
This will become a new landmark
that will remain…hidden 11 months a year.
*
In the village, year long, this house has already become
since a long time a landmark
referred to as the place
where people can see the 1001 pots… ;)).
*
challenge: Hometown landmark.

I am thinking of the great Eugene Smith.
This is an image that one can feel and i love that feeling.
The story is such a treat to read ~V~

La petite femme...
La délicatesse de ses gestes, je n'ai jamais su les imiter,
Son cou si fin avec déjà un collier tout doré ,qui le rend moins fragile
J aimerai tant la voir mais elle est dans un monde différent ....

Light, composition and details all beautiful ... however the lovely mood got my attention at the very first moment.
