Day 23 - Winter Mausoleum

Here up north, the ground freezes and we have heavy snows that prevent winter burials of our deceased. Many deceased are temporarily housed in mausoleums like this one. When the weather is favorable, they are placed in their final resting spot.

Very interesting, I had never heard of Winter Mausoleums. We only have family or private mausoleums here, but on the other hand winters are never so hard! Nice capture Brenda!

Our are mostly buried by a mound of earth.

Oh is that what happens. Here we bury in the ground all year, but some are placed in family mausoleums for all time.
