Football Association of Iranian Club(FAIC) was founded in 4 August 1998 in Tehran, Iran. Members of the association were the teams.
The Iran Pro League (IPL) currently known as the Persian Gulf Cup is a professional football league competition for clubs located at the highest level of the Iranian football league system.
The league system resembles the system being used in England currently. The Premier League is the top tier of an extensive pyramid-like structure, above the Azadegan League (or 1st Division), the 2nd division, the 3rd Division and the lower local leagues.
