Playing on the front porch of a house in uptown New Orleans, this band drew a crowd from blocks around. Since Katrina, this has been a tradition at the residence of this couple on Jena Street who also celebrated the one year birthday of their first child, my great-great niece.
There is music in all the neighborhoods of New Orleans, always, but during the Carnival season it is extra special to entertain visitors and family and friends.
Bourbon Street is mostly for tourists and a revenue for the City. And, of course, everyone has to see Bourbon Street at least once during the Carnival Season.
