I made a fabric playing piece for each blank space in the quilt. Each piece is sized the same as the quilt blocks, double sided with batting sandwiched in the center. I secured the open edge and the batting with a zig-zag stitch, using Rainbows thread. There are 41 pieces to complete the puzzle, plus an extra of each pattern to protect against loss.

After I have finished quilting the top, I plan to post an animation to show the puzzle solution.
