Ischia's bus system

Some years ago the buses transferred to new operators - EAVBUS - whose timetables
are available online (no promises though that you'll get one that's current!),
here.. http://www.eavbus.it/opencms/eavbus/orari/ordinarie/index.html
.
The stop for Sant'Angelo is at Cavo Grado (marked as C.Grado on the map). Note that the
timetable for the number 9 suggests it doesn't go there, despite the green line on the map!
.
To buy tickets (and to get a current version of the timetable), it's best to call in at
the ticket office at back of the main bus terminus, just behind the harbour in Ischia Porto,
near the large harbourside church.
.
The full range of tickets - often not available the other outlets - starts with
singles at 1.90 Euro each (slightly more on the bus) of 90 minutes duration... just
long enough complete a circuit the island on the CD or CS services.
.
.
WARNING: It's incumbent on you to have a valid ticket - which includes stamping it in the
validating machine on the bus AT THE START of your trip... with a multi-journey ticket,
only necessary the first time you use it!).

Inspectors regularly patrol the buses, and vigorously enforce the rules, with on-the-spot
fines of 50 or so!!
