Dark Morphed Ferruginous Hawk

Steamboat Springs, Colorado

This raptor captured a field rodent and used the bail-of-hay to eat from. Open field just right of route 40 heading into Steamboat Springs from the East.
Originally thought to be an immature Bald Eagle; Raymond De Smet believes this is a hawk; not sure which species of hawk, but I agree with Raymond. I'm going with Dark Morphed Ferruginous Hawk.
'previous' two images are the very same raptor.
