Whilst travelling toward Dunnet Head for sunset I crested a hill and saw this wonderful scene and an indication of a promised sunset. I pulled over at an old graveyard, abandoned my car and lined up a shot across the sound towards the Orkney islands. As the sun dipped below dense clouds a finger of red sunlight painted the landmass beyond. A short and memorable moment of exquisite light.
