These little guys showed up precariously perched in a crooked nest on the outside of a bush by our front door. It seems as if the gardeners, doing a good job, had trimmed them right out of a home. Two of the four eggs had fallen out but there were two babies left and in spite of our interfering or maybe because of it, they lived to fly away a few weeks later. Even though we tampered extensively with the nest trying to "help", the mommy continued to come and feed and take care of them. The little house finches flew away and we hope they are happily finding yummy seeds at our backyard feeders.
