Finding ghosts, by Tim May, Nevada City, Montana, 2010

I was framing a shot from between abandoned freight cars near the Nevada City ghost town when my friend pbase artist Tim May made this image of me. Tim uses the rail cars to abstract most of me – they show the wear and tear of time, which was exactly what I was searching for in my own shot.

Yes, I do take it seriously. I seem to somewhat critical of what I may be looking at during this shot.

I like how this image show the seriousness you bring to your image making.

This was what I was shooting, Carol.http://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/125667464

Intensity is the operative word in Tim's shot of me here. I usually hold a camera much more firmly that I'm doing here. I was most likely caught in the process of evaluating if I was going to use a vertical or horizontal format at this moment. When actually shooting, finger holding is not the most stable approach.
