Here is the church and here is the steeple...

May Challenge: memories

This church reminds me of my grandparents' church, the church I grew up in
and the one that I was married in. So many memories to choose from...
I used to go with my grandparents to their church occasionally.
Grandpa always had butterscotch candies in his pocket for us.
We called them "butterballs".

Note: This church is very old. The present steeple was built in 1860.
Yes, it does lean towards the rear of the building.

Wonderful memory. And this church has a "special feature."
Good, crisp photo. The flag is a nice feature. Deep blue sky.

Around my home town a white church with tall steeple was usually Congregational.

Great shot, much better than the long distance one I took. Very sharp and great colors.

Open the doors and see all the people! We played that when I was little a lot too! I love your story...my grandpa gave us Wrigley's Spearmint Gum. Every time I have a piece I think of him. This is a beautiful composition and a beautiful church. I love this!

Very beautiful church with traditional lines. Love the blue sky and American flag too. P.S. We called 'em butterballs too.
