Maybe it's under here.

JillyBeans new toy is the dresser. She rolls over on her back and scoots herself along the dresser. Not sure what she is doing or why but it is pretty distracting when your trying to go to sleep. Oh yeah, did I mention she is meowing the entire time she is doing this? Gotta love this little sweetheart.

The shelter manager came to see the kittens for the first time yesterday (they are now at the 6-week mark) and she is insisting that they be euthanized because of their severity. Neither kitten is able to look after itself, and they rely on myself and Mama-cat for all their needs. Her concern is that they will always need someone to help them. So we don't know what to do. We have spent the past 6 weeks 100% dedicated to these kittens, and just letting them go that quickly seems impossible. But we don't have the capability to look after them ourselves forever (as we both work full days and are already taking time off to care for them now...) Upon taking on this litter (which were born here), we didn't realize that it would be full time care. So we're looking to people who have been there, and hope that we can get some help. We have decided that we want a second opinion from a vet, as well, but I fear that will only buy us a short amount of time.

I am so glad you found out before someone convinced you to do something drastic. These little ones make amazing pets. JillyBean's condition is mild to medium, however there are those who have severe CH kitties so I believe they all should be given the opportunity to live a happy life. Keep me updated on these little ones. And thank you so much for doing your research. Not everyone would have done that.

I just found out my two 5 and a half-week old kittens have Cerebellar Hypoplasia. Been hand-rearing one and Mama-cat has been taking care of the other since birth (she rejected the runt, and one other that passed away the first week, so we have become mother to the runt). When they hit the 5 week mark, and they weren't walking, just wobbling and falling, with heads shaking.... we knew there was something wrong. And today we found out what. I thought that it was going to be end all for our kittens when we were told that it was CH... but then I started researching more on the net about it, and blogs like yours here have put my mind at ease. Thank you for your wonderful pictures and posts. We hope that our kittens turn out to be as wonderful as JillyBean :)
